"Papá Kosta y Mamá Zorka eligieron para Branislav Jankovic nacer en Nis, donde tuvo su hogar, dulce hogar durante toda su vida. En 1964 se había enamorado del arte de los títeres, descubriendo los secretos de la escena, desde la tecnología hasta el juego actoral.Su primer amor, la guitarra, encontró su función en la escena. Él escribió la música para otras obras de teatro y para sus propias obras. Fué el autor de más de cincuenta escenografías para los famosos Teatros de Niños. A partir de 1974, fué fundador y miembro de Teatro Fenix en Nis. Su biografía artística se desarrolla junto a esta compañía.La vida en el arte la vivió siendo un eminente artista libre desde 1979, llevando la belleza del teatro de títeres a su máxima expresión. Durante algunos años realizó cerca de doscientas actuaciones al año, que fueron vistas por más de 60.000 espectadores (niños y adultos) en cerca de cien ciudades, pueblos y aldeas.El trabajo de títeres le trajo la felicidad permanente, nuevos descubrimientos, encuentros y numerosos premios y reconocimientos.El más valioso de todos los premios para él era el más duradero, el trabajo que realizaba para ellos: los niños.

"Mother Zorka and father Kosta have decided for Branislav Jankovic to be born in Nis, where he had his Home, sweet home over his whole life. In 1964 he had fallen in love with puppetry, discovering secret scenes, from technology to author's play.
His first love, the guitar, had his function in the scene. He wrote the music for other theatre plays and for his own. He had the author of over fifty scenographies for the famous Children's Theatres. From 1974, he had one of the two Puppet Scene Members of "Fenix" from Nis. His artistic biography had further attached to this theatre.
The life in the art he had living in the status of eminent free artist from 1979, carrying on the beauty of the puppetry all over the word. Over some years he was playing about two hundred performances which have been watched over 60.000 spectators (children and adults) in about hundred different towns, villages and hamlets.
The puppetry work brings him permanent happiness of new discovering, meetings, and numerous awards and recognition.
The most valuable of all the rewards for him was further lasting, it was performing for them: childrens.
